Artist Lisa Solberg is most known for her large installations, exhibiting from Los Angeles to Germany, and everywhere in between. She is inspired by everyday life, producing significant works that are candid, rich, and uncensored out of her LA studio.
We discovered Solberg at her latest show, Mister Lee’s Shangri-La, one block from Shreebs at MAMA Gallery, and wow! Just wow! We are proud to feature some of her work here and learn more about her love of nature, Michael Jordan, and dreams of living in Tokyo.
MOST KNOWN FOR: Large scale installations.
CURRENT PROJECT or SHOW: I’ve got my hands in a lot right now.
HOW DO YOU TAKE YOUR COFFEE? BREW METHOD?
NAME SOMETHING YOU LOVE.
Nature. Because with out it there would be no beauty.
WHAT IS KEY TO YOUR PROCESS?
It’s always different- sometimes it’s key to be more patient and meditative, and in other projects/stages I need to jump in.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM PROJECT?
I have big plans for a project concerning Michael Jordan and myself.
ON YOUR DEATH BED, LAST MEAL IN LA?
I’d have a beer at Wurstküche.
